Virtual tutoring can be as effective as in-person if not more so. Due, in part, to the convenience of online tutoring, more students are willing to meet with a virtual tutor. A 2022 study published in the Economics of Education Review found that online tutoring resulted in a 7.57% increase in math scores for students, a point above the in-person tutoring averages.
